Anybody who knows me, knows that I have a very soft spot for moo cows.  This image was taken when visiting one of my favourite herds of cows down in Dorset with Walkland Partnerships.  The herd are very sleek, glossy and incredibly well looked after.  These moo cows are exceptionally calm, interested to know what's going on and rather affectionate! 

And anyone who thinks that taking pictures of moo cows is easy... think again!  Cow sheds are usually very dark, especially in winter.  Any light that there is, pours in creating a vast tonal range.  Many moo cows are black and white and trying to light a black cow in a dark shed aint easy!  It's very 'slippery' underfoot and you usually get quite a few exploratory licks!
